Wireless headphones:shrug:

Radio shack sells a pair that ive noticed many people seem to choose. I think the biggest problem some were concerned about was lag. If they lag its like having a slow recovery or a null.. the distance between targets seems to change and you could miss targets. But.... some people like them and say they dont notice this. Doesnt the V3 have wireless headphones Larry? I dont know what kind of a drain they might put on a battery either... if any. They would be one more NICE thing to have with all these up graded detectors and coils.

I am not familiar with the generic wireless in the last several years. I have heard the talk of the Radio Shack model. I did some early experimenting many years ago and came up with several designs from the FM transmitters to Bluetooth. The FM type lacked audio quality and subject to EMI and Bluetooth had the "lag". White's proprietary system is flawless in every respect even though the headphones are slightly heavier than what I'm used to, SunRay Golds. Audio quality is exceptional. The down side for non V3 users is that it is not an add on, but built into the V3i and probably future releases of White's detectors. The two AA batteries seem to last about 20 hours of detecting time, and many use rechargeables. I love the wireless technology even though I had no problems with the wired type.

I might suggest trying the RS model and if they don't work to your liking, take them back...........

Way to go Larry... i knew i could count on a good post from you. Looks like another option for headphone designers to boost the price to an even $200 lol.

I have the BLUETOOTH headphones from AIRHEADZ, and they work great, no lag time, but they're expensive. $400

I've used the Logitech Free pulse wireless.
They cost around $ 90 and good for 8 hours plus on a charge.
There made for I POD and MP3 but work great with my detector ( XLT )
No lag time .

I have a set of Radio Shack Wireless Stereo Headphones that I have used for over 300 hours and they work great...They are light weight, cool during the summer months and have no noticeable tone lag.....I really like them and they work,,,,Radio Shack has discontinued the set that I have, however I understand that you can purchase the newer model that isn't BlueTooth technology for around $70.00 or $80.00 dollars... I hope this helps....I wish you well, stay warm and happy hunting..:twodetecting:
