wireless headphones metal detecting

They work...Get anything you like as long as it is NOT Bluetooth...RF Wireless is prefered..Also do NOT get FM wireless, as you will pick up every local radio station...
TDK makes a nice set, but they are pricey...

HH,

Have been using a set on my Infinium for a while now.
They work very well, no loss of sensitivity and buckets of volume with tone and vol control and can work close to the coil down to about 1.5 feet without any significant interference. Would put model and brand here but am not sure if that is a allowed.

If you try a set on the AT Pro/Gold and they have low volume, it is due to the headset having a high impedance...You need to get a extension cable with a volume control in-line...they can be had at any Radio Shack...

HH,

Depending on what type you get, you will probably need a set of batteries for the HPs and a set for the TX plus you will have to improvise a method of attaching the TX to the Detector or to your belt etc. That's about it.

Has any body tried wireless headphones metal detecting?

They work just fine, sample pics.

Can also be used as external speakers on a hot day while wearing a hat.

Did you have to put a resistor in that adapter you made to get volume out of the headphones? (change the impedance)
