Wireless headphones for AT Pro

Hi Everyone, I am new to the forum. I would like to know how I can find some wireless headphones for my AT PRO. Where to Buy, what to ask for and do I need to buy adapter from Garrett? I would appreciate any good advice from you all

I found some Rapoos on Amazon and yes you will need an adapter for the AT Pro any dealer should be able to help you on this

Hi, and welcome to the Forum. I have a tendency to be direct and straightforward. In my humble opinion, don't bother. There are advantages and disadvantages based upon what I have read. I say, "based upon what I have read", because I have never owned wireless headphones; I have only owned wired ones. The wired ones have worked fine over the years and, as I understand, the wireless ones can be "finicky" and "battery consumers". Have I ever wished I had wireless headphones? Well, um...no; digging the targets have overridden that desire.

Thanks for the feedback guys and aj thank you for your humble opinion. That sounds like good solid advice to me and I do believe I will heed it and stick with the wires. Thanks again

Hopefully others can weigh-in here; things may have changed during the past couple of years and I wouldn't want someone to make such a decision based on my advice alone. I have never used wireless headphones.

Hi, I am pretty new to detecting and I have made my pro wireless. I am using the Sennheiser RS160. They have no lag and the transmitter and headphones and the battery life is excellent. You can get them off Amazon for $130 at times.I have not had any bad experiences running with them. They are much lighter too. The tones are a little higher across the board and take a little getting used too. The transmitter is round and has a volume control on the transmitter and the headphones. I did buy the Garrett 1/4 adapter. Only con is that the power LEDs on both components are hard to see in bright sunlight to tell if it is on or not. Hope this helps but this is based on my experience only. I will try and learn how to post pics of my setup this weekend. Good Luck

Here ae pics of my setup. Looks a little goofy but serves its purpose. Can be used in the rain if you use a rain coat with a hood and can be taken off quickly if wired headphones are wanted. Sorry for the fuzzy pic.

Welcome to the forum steveo:) That is a sweet set up  Very interesting!! Thank you for posting it.

You need to get that in line volume control in order for the unit to work. Without it, the speaker on the unit will work and not the headset. The AT Series need some resistance in order for the speaker NOT to work on the unit.
