I am after a non Bluetooth wireless set up for an f 75. Cheaper the better. Please share recommendations and if so can you post a pic of the set up??

Cheap headphones will down grade your detector, it's like putting a restrictor on a Corvette. Unless you have an inside track on some good quality used ones, I'd stay with some high quality products. Just my opinion, I've learned that your headphones are critical for your detector.

Well I have had the expensive ones too. They really do not sound as expensive as the price reflects. I do not mind trying some cheaper alternative wireless ones for a change as I am looking to just give it a whirl

Why no Bluetooth? I got a really good buy as a local Hastings was going out of business on a set of SkullCandy HESH 2 Wireless headphones. I bought a aptX Low Latency TROND Wireless Bluetooth Transmitter for around $40. Works great and no lag/latency.

Transmitter.

I guess because I thought blue tooth had to be matched with cell phones or something. I do not know anything about the blue tooth stuff or pairing etc. I do however understand transmit and receive. That is why I said no blue tooth. I just do not know anything about it.

I have used the rapoo on a F75se . Lag is minimal and tone quality is acceptable. Run time is about 5 or 6 hours. The headset is light and comfortable but give little noise reduction. Overall build quality is average at best. Adjust rotation of the ear cups with care.

Bluetooth wireless is easy to use and less susceptible to interference.

On my setup I press the button on the transmitter and hold it for 5 seconds till it starts blinking blue. That means its in bind mode looking for a device. I do the same with my headphones. Press the button and hold it for 5 seconds till it starts blinking blue showing bind mode. The headphones say "Looking for a device to bind" and in a few seconds they both find each other and the blinking slows down to once every 5 seconds or so and they are ready to use.

I tried the Rapoo's for a while.

Even with the low latency transmitter, there was still a 3-4 inch signal lag with my Racer 2. The sound quality was just OK. Not bad.
I've also tried another brand of bluetooth headphones and transmitter with similar results.
Not bad at all, just OK.

When noise reduction is not an issue and the weather's hot, I use the white apple ear buds with a longer cable.
When I need to reduce ambient sound, I use Black Widows now.
Both of these solutions sound amazing on my Racer 2!

I may end up trying the Makro wireless unit for the Racer, but I won't sacrifice any quality in order to lose the wire.

So, if someone can lose the wire, get 12 hours per charge, and not lose any quality, I'm in! :)

Just get these, you will not be sorry no downgrade at all to your detector as some have said. These things are awesome no delay. There well worth the $89.00 spent on them.

I picked up the Deteknix WR6 wireless dongles to use on my favorite headphones with my Tesoro detectors. Man these things work great with no noticeable delay. They mount easy and have a rated 6 to 7 hours battery life. They charge with a USB type cord and a standard type USB type phone charger and run around $89.00 in cost.

I just tuck the headphones receiver in a small cell phone pouch on my belt and run the headphone cord down to it, works great. I install the transmitter on the detector with the rubber O ring (takes 5 seconds to do) also can be mounted a few diffrent ways (see pic's). I turn everything on and it's good to go.

It is really nice to not have the cord attached to the detector. Fineally someone has made a product that works great to make any pair of headphones wireless with no delay that's easy to mount to a detector

Happy Hunting All,
Bill G

I keep those Deteknix W6R6 transmitters in stock. They work real well. The wireless headphones they have are real nice also. They really sit nice on a Tesoro since the headphone plug is on the back of the box, :detecting:
