Wireless Headphone Question

HI, all:

Took the plunge and purchased a CTX3030. Tried to set up the wireless headphones today. Followed the instruction manual but couldn't get them recognized by the detector. Tried all 14 channels but always got a "failed" message. Tried inside the house and outside the house. All 14 channels both places. No luck. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks, andd keep on diggin'

Welcome to the CTX forum Jimmy. There are a lot of great folks here on the forum who can help you out. But let me give it a shot......first off, there are no wireless headphones with the CTX 3030. If you are referring to the Wireless Module, there may be a couple things you could try........First off, make sure the battery in the Wireless Module has been fully charged. It may take 4 or 5 hours initially. But it will stop blinking when it is fully charged. To activate the wireless, turn on the detector, then turn on the wireless mod with the left pad. When the mod is turned on, press and hold the pad on the right. Place the module near the detector, facing the CTX. Then go to the detector's menu item for Wireless, highlight it and press select. The next item is Wireless Enable.....highlight it and press select. Then drop down to Connect and press select. Use the right and left arrows to select a channel. Then, press select. The mod should then sync up with the detector. When it does, I use the pinpoint toggle to get me back to the main screen.
If it doesn't do it within a few seconds on a certain channnel, use the arrow pad to physically change channels and try Select again. If after going through all the channels, it still doesnt' connect, you might try resetting the module. There is a place on the front of it where you can reset it with a paper clip.

Try this and let us know how it works out. HH Randy

That did it. I wasn't holding the right button down while trying to get it to set up the wireless module.

Thanks for your help. Always enjoy your posts. Very informative.
