Winter Sucks but playing inside

The snow just kept coming this weekend in Indiana. Couldn't stand it Sunday afternoon and got my CZs out to do some air testing. I have a new to me 1021 that was hitting a dime at 11 inches. I was pleased by that and put the 10.5 coil on, just to see what it would do. Things improved an inch or two with the big coil. I noticed a silver dollar on my desk and grabbed it. What a hoot to hit this thing at 15 to 16 inches with a good signal. Now I just need to find one out in the real world, slightly shallower so I can dig one. One of the things on my want list. I have never dug a silver dollar. Would love to hear the stories from those that have though. Help pass the time to a thaw.

I know what you mean same here in Illinois. I was hoping to get another mild winter like last year. I was playing around with my detectors also this week end air testing and such. Not as fun as the real thing,But neat to compare one detector to the other. I have a CZ-3D also and a E-trac and Whites XL-PRO. The CZ-3D is the hottest air tester,But the XL-PRO in all metal is no slouch. The E-trac like all minelabs air test O.K., But they are better on in ground targets for sure. This is more fun than taking the batterys out for the winter and just leaving them in the closet to me anyways.
