1/03/10 here it is the next day temps in 20,s wind up to 40mph sitting here still debating man i got the fever bad school grounds frozen still tempted to try playground -covered in wood chips i might be able to dig there for coins this sucks the weather doesn't bother me but the wind will be whipping up the water which is where i wanted to be (chest waders -hopefully warm enough- water is in 40,s not too cold

in the fifties here today cloudy no wind to speak of..:clapping::minelab::detecting:

With the wind whipping like it is here in the NE, it is dangerous to go into any type of ocean waters. The currents and waves are very strong and can suck you right out there in a second. Wait for things to calm down and warm up. Don't forget, if it is windy at home, it is twice as windy at the beach. This storm will either rip out the sand or put more in, check out the conditions tomorrow when the winds simmer down. Also......do you have your permit to hunt Jones Beach..........if you don't then you better get one because they can confiscate your detector if you don't have one.
