Windy Day Off Yields Silver!

Lightstryder

New member
Well I had another day off this week and I couldn't wait to get my new 8.5" x 11" DD coil out. It is gusting 40+ MPH and sand is flying today, but i didn't care, I had to get out  I was out walking my dog the other day and came across a Minelab guy from up north here visiting for a conference, and I talked to him briefly, he said he had found a silver dime around some rocks and he pointed in a general direction. Well I took mental note of where he was talking about and went there today. My first find was a penny and then the Merc, I couldn't believe it! :yikes: Then the Rosey popped out, and the the nickel a few minutes later. They were all within 20 feet of each other in an embankment. What a great day! So after that I headed to the dry sand and found a quarter and a penny lying on top of the sand, the wind had uncovered. The rest were anywhere from 3 to 8 inches. I am loving running my GTI 2500 in All Metal on the dry sand and reverse disc-ing, it seems to be working for me, I just ignore the noise between the good signals. I am trying to train myself not to depend on the screen too much in preparation for my Infinium next week! Thanks for looking at my finds and HH! :detecting:
