Windy but productive

DFX-Gregg

Well-known member
The wind did get the best of me in the end...but not before 105 coins mainly from a sledding hill in a park. Odd at top of hill by bench hit a lot of nickels...

You know Gregg you find 1,000 coins to my 20.... Now tell me the truth what bank do you go to to get all those old dirty coins???? Just kidding.... Great work.... Jer

Ok Greg- Your getting nearer......

I said you would hit 6000 coins ,BUT YOU ARE GOING OVER THE 10000 COINS MARK.
You are the coin hunting KING on this forum.
That DFX is a nasty detector in your hands.
I need to turn my XLPRO loose on the clads :beers:but my Prizm is doing a good job on them.
What are you going to do next year.......15,000 coins
Get the big foot and you will cover more ground fast. 18 inch at a time and will pick up dimes at 5 plus inch.
Well anyway you are the man.
I would like to post your 10000 coins on www.firstontop.com.

Sure...I will be posting a pic at 10,000... Next year no I do not think 15,000 is what I am after.... I have logged a lot of hunts..... Would like to maybe go back to 2 or 3...4 a little much....sore back...knees...

Another great hunt. Good work... Gregg I read in one of posts you say you do not get down on the ground to dig your targets??? I don't understand how you do that? I ask because I have a hip fusion and can not bend down on left side. I have a lot of trouble getting up. Have been thinking about a three leg folding stool on a cane type of thing to take so I can get up once I get down. I have gotten a digging tool and knee pads. Only thinking about this because you guys who park hunt get SO much. I think maybe I am missing a lot by not park hunting.... Thanks Jer

Not sure if you have seen the device I use...it is like a home made swingy thingy...it allows me to release the detector or set it down.. I bend cutting a half circle..and retrieve coin.. With previous hip problems this may be very hard for you... Once I get tired what I do is keep left foot flat and i actually do angle right knee on ground...but normally with my homemade swingy thing I can release detector without dropping it...and dig..

Thanks Gregg:
I have seen the swingy thingy. I don't think I have seen your home made swingy thingy. I will have to think about how I will get up once down. It will come to me when I least expect it. I have had to adjust my world to fit into the regular world for years, but I always seem to be able to adjust so both worlds work together. Thanks Gregg.... Jer
