Wilson Coin Select

Anyone using a CoinSelect on the wet/dry(salt) beach? I understand it works really well in the wet & dry. I have one I put on a straight shaft that I hope one day to finally get to the beach with. Only about 30 miles to the beach but I haven't made it there yet. I would think precautions need be done to keep the dry sand from getting into the box. but from what I see lots of folks don't seem to be conserned about the sand intrusion. Can't imagine any detector other than one made for beach hunting being imune to the fine dust and grit that surely would manage it's way into its' very "inards".Can't say that I have ever had any problems ever with dirt intrusion in any of my other detectors , but I wonder if so much sand would be another matter. I can imagine most folks stand and dig, but my ole back put's me on my knees to dig and that means the detector will be mostly at my side in the dry sand.I will have to stand to dig the wet so it will not be a problem. I figured for my seldon beach trip,a big plastic bag, or some rubber tape over the seams/joints in the box would do, Any suggestions for protection or setup for the beach would really be appreciated.I have a heap of other detectors that will work well in the drysand but since the CoinSelect is a known wet beach machine I want to give it a try. Thanks a lot y'all for any input and HH, Charlie
