Will this coil work on the AT PRO and is it any good?...

[size=large]The ad says it for the "ACE" family of Garrett detectors;

"10x14" DD EXCelerator Search Coil
For The Garrett Ace Series Metal Detectors" I'm looking for 2 more inches of depth in good ground. The stock coil is maxed at 12-13" on a Mini ball in good ground. I'm looking for 14-15 inches on a bullet because there's lots of then down there yet. Garretts next size coil up from the stock is only 1 inch bigger... Not paying $100+ for 1 inch bigger ~ heck, I could stretch the one I got an inch. :lol:

Thanks

Is there a 15" WOT coil available for the AT series ? That would get you to China real quick :laugh:

We're all waiting impatiently for some more coils. I've heard we might see some SEF in the future, maybe. I'd love to see a WOT!!!

The atp has a rather unique coil connector, if it becomes more popular there probably will be other coils. Sometimes one can get more depth by offsetting the gb (lowering setting), if offset too much the machine will false and pp will get squirrelly. It depends on ground minerals how much offset works best. I use 3 to 7 numbers(offset lower), often works well. Try it, it may work in your ground.

Man, I wish those Bulgarians would make some SEF coils for the AT series. That would be awesome!:super:

If the coil has been tuned to the operating frequency of the metal detector, with the right plug in, then it should work.
