I got mine a couple of months ago with my v3 and I'm selling them on Ebay because I'd rather use my headphones with the cord. Will any v3 pick up the signal or do they have to be sent to Whites? Thanks.

Will the wireless headphones work with any v3 unit?

They should work with all V3 units.
Dave, I can't believe that guy and his story about sending the unit to White's and all..LOL What a DORK !

Some food for thought....and updated set of headphones would probably sell for more since all new detectors will have the updated software for it. I would send them in for the update before selling.

Ok thanks.....Yes even if they had to be sent in, $50 is waaay too cheap.
All headphones will work with all versions of the V3.
v1.3 was a fix to address the "mono to stereo" problem that some people had. The headphones are not really changing from mono to stereo, the phase of the audio waveforms are changing (result of having stereo and microprocessor timing). So, if somebody is sending in their detector for an audio fix, both detector AND headphones need to be sent in to get the benefits of the fix. I think that is what HOTROCKS is referring to. The headphones do not need to be upgraded to work with new versions of the detector software, they just won't have that fix in them.
