Will the CTX 3030 find Gold and Platinum Rings?

I know everyone is comparing the CTX to the E Trac. But does the CTX find gold and platinum rings. I love to find coins but I also love to find rings. Thanks

I think since it's so easy to set the etrac up to snipe silver that a lot of jewelry gets passed up. I have several vids of the etrac finding rings. For the most part it still comes down to digging trash. I would expect the 3030 to be the same or better?

The discrimination functionality of the CTX 3030 is similar to the E-TRAC in that every target is identified by it's Ferrous/Non-Ferrous composition and it operates on frequencies ranging from 1.5 kHz to 100 kHz. So a short answer to your question would be yes, it has the capability to find anything metal. It is simply a matter of determining what target properties you want to dig and which ones you want to leave behind. And as Ray pointed out, you'll need to pass the coil over them. HH Randy

Don't worry, you're not alone there!

well there is one in my coin garden so guess where i will be heading when i get my detector WHOOOOPEE the thing is it is a real test as they the targets just sit there and wait for the detector to find them each target has a plastic ruler at the side so depth is as exact as it can be i just cant wait to get some answers

Sure it finds Platinum and Gold. However Platinum is a lot like PLUTONIUM, which is very dangerous, so if you will just email all your Plati... I mean PLUTONIUM finds to me I will put them in a lead box for safe-keeping. :heh:
