Will Minelab give you the :help:

about Minelab. When the 18.75 becomes availible I will offer it with either the 18.75 or standard stock coil. I think if you are a gold hunter and want the 18.75 that is what you should get standard.

Joe, I wish more dealers and manufacturers understood as well as you do that "not everyone likes vanilla", and would offer the customer his or her choice of coil any time they purchased a new detector and price them accordingly, a little less for smaller coils or a little more for larger ones. I know personally there have been times when I just didn't want to put the extra money into an accessory coil or go through the hassle of selling one that I didn't need, so didn't even bother to buy the machine at all. They should consider offering "options" on the front side instead of making a mandatory additional purchase by pushing something the customer doesn't want in the first place. Just might go a long way in helping get the detector market up and moving again if everyone concerned on the sale side were a little more flexable toward the dollar providers....... ;)

But I feel that a person wanting the other coil instead will pay more too for the detector with the new coil as there is really no market for the other coils being they only will work on a X-Terra and all of them will have this coil stock on their X-Terras. The dealer may have to sit on them for 4 years or more as the warranty on those sold now will have the 4 year warranty on them because of the Christmas specials.
I seen this with the MXT when some didn't want the stock coil and wanted a 5X10 DD coil so a few sold the MXT with the 5X10 coil in hopes of selling the stock coil only to find out there was no market for them.
What we need it to be able to buy the X-Terra 50 without a coil right from Minelab and add the one we want or the option of both coils right from the factory or even like they did with the Explorer is giving a free 8 inch coil as a Christmas special.
