Will Minelab ever take the time to design & produce the small coil.............................

for the X-Terra? It is great that Minelab has taken the time to design and produce the new Explorer SE, but how about taking the time to produce the small coil that everyone would like to have. This small coil situation is not good PR for Minelab, especially for us first time Minelab users. I have had some good fun using both the X-Terra 30 and X-Terra 70, and have even found some good things with them, but the standard coil is not ideal for working some of the trash laden sites that require a smaller coil for target separation. I would suggest that anyone thinking about purchasing the X-Terra hold off doing so until Minelab gets their act together on this issue. Kelley (Texas)

that was on my consideration list(MXT) if I would have known that they would drag their feet so much. Not to say that my 50 is a poor detector. I was just anticipating a great deal of flexibility in its use, from hunting at local parks, to picking through trash at an old mining camp.

They assured me that their engineers are working on the small coil for the X-Terra, but could not tell me when it would be released to the public. Just the fact that they cared enough to reply offers encouragement.

I do enjoy using both my X-Terra 30 and 70. The biggest surprise is that the X-Terra 30 holds it's own against the X-Terra 70 in regards to depth of detection in the mild soil down here in South Texas.

Let's hope that the small coil will soon be on the market. Kelley (Texas) :)
