Will it hunt in the trigger forward position? Or will it use too much energy and deplete the batteries?

I suppose you could hunt in Analysis screen and it shouldn't use more battery than any other screen, but why? I hunt in the Search screen, find a target, trigger forward to analyze the target and then squeeze to pinpoint if I wanted to dig it.

How fast does the Search screen and Analysis screens update? It might be better to hunt in the Search screen just because it would be easier to see a particular frequency jump up, and you'll have the extra ability to know if a particular frequency is hitting something you have masked out. Obviously the first thing that's going to make you even look at the screen is the audio, and by then you will know what to start looking for on the display, assuming you are using audio discrimination too. There are going to be so many ways to use this new detector that we haven't even thought of yet.
