will F2 or Edge coils work properly on a F5?

I have a F2, and a EDGE, both with 3 coils, have a F5 on order. I have read that the F2 coil will work, but not well. I like using the smaller 5" / 6" coils. Will the Edge coils work on the F5? ---- Appreciate any help, Thanks!
 
The Edge coils will not work nor connect to the F5 (different coil connector). The F2/F4/BH coils will connect with the F5, and work with varying degrees of success. Some folks have been using the 4" sniper coil and are happy with it, and others didn't like it. I tried the F4 11" DD on the F5 and thought it worked well, except the pinpointing was really funked up, but you could X it and it was OK.

When you get your F5 try the F2 coils you have and see what you think, it definitely won't hurt anything and they "may" work OK for you.

iT IS NOT WORTH THE TIME TO USE A COIL THAT WAS NOT MADE FOR THE F5 OR ANY DETECTOR...COILS ARE A VERY IMPORTANT ROLL IN HOW THE UNIT WORKS!
