Will be in Yosemite in a few weeks.

It will be a field trip required for my college geology class. Should be a great trip, although I am not sure what the weather will be like. Will have to check as it gets closer. This will be my first time up into the Sierras this yr.

Of course, with any mandatory college field trip there is always a class assignment! I do not know exactly what it will be yet, but from what I hear it is some type of worksheet pertaining to geology that will need to be completed while in the park. Once done with the work, however, I am free to do whatever I want as long as I make it back to the bus on time.

Although this will not be my first time in Yosemite, I always enjoy snapping some photos and shooting some video of the massive granite cliffs inside the valley, which is hopefully the part of the park we will be in. If we are in the back country, that is just as good; less crowded and great wide open shots. There is so much to shoot in Yosemite that it is actually really difficult to choose what to shoot. For any of you who have never been to Yosemite, or have never heard of Yosemite (GASP!!!), the best videos I have seen on Yosemite are from the Yosemite national Park nature notes series on Youtube. They are very professional videos and make you feel like you are in the park. HH and GL

It would be great if you get pictures of big animals like bears, mountain lions, and etc. How long will you actually be in the park? This is exciting and I hope you get to take lots of pictures. Kelley (Texas) :)
