well out of all the detectors i've had in the last 4 years i keep coming back to the tried and true or true to me anyways i'm selling my teknetics omega 8000 and don't get me wrong it's a great machine and everything but its to digital for me and just like the feel of the umax design so i'm on the hunt for a vaquero high tone with the 5.75" coil concentric and 12 x 10 DD for field hunts and this time i've learned not to over look this brand again!

Welcome back! I still have the first Tesoro that I bought in 1994 (Toltec ll) it's been sent back to factory twice since new. It still runs smooth and has great target ID. Since then I have collected several more and it has become quite an addiction...........so you should pay attention to those warning signs. HH

I wish I could come back to Tesoro. My wife is using the Silver Sabre now and enjoys it, but I'm sticking with my Minelab. My ground here is just too mineralized and the Explorer seems to be the only one that can effectively deal with it.

There's just something about the Tesoro's - almost like a league away from others - but that's a good thing.

Yes Tesoro makes a great machine and the service is absolutely the best. But they have not come out with a new detector in years, and others are passing them by. A new, updated ID machine would sure make a buyer out of me. While the HOT series are still depth monsters, the Cortes pales in comparison to newer ID machines. Just the way it is.

You'll be like a 5 year old in church, a little wiggle worm, until you find that special unit that seems like it was made just for you. You'll be running through them again, you wait and see.

just like the tesoro line when i run one they find stuff for me, and just because its old does'nt mean its not good i like what works for me that simple and i like to try different machines, what can i say just maybe to find that one that will change my mind but there has'nt yet
