Will a Minelab Supersearch coil work on a Sovereign ?

Found this machine up for sale by Minelab El Dorado Mark II i thought the coil would work with a Sovereign ? This machine looks like it sat in a box for ever and never used . Thanks for any help Jim

I dont believe so Jim. I think thats one of the older gold machines you have pictured there. Looks like an all metal machine, single freq. Sov needs to use the multi freq bbs coils. The only solid coils the sov can use that I know of are the two coinsearch coils, the two sunray coils(S5 and 12") and the coitek joey coil.
there also might be some earlier excellerator coils, I think an 8" concentric was available.....

Thanks Neil i thought i would give it a shot if it was compatable with Sovereign but nice machine for its age real clean . Jim

sure looks like that Jim. I think that one might even be before the Sov. That control housing mount is different than the V clip on the early Sovs. Plus the rod doesnt even have one of those locking collars.

My Sov Elite also works fine with the Excellerator 5" coil - a solid coil.
