Will a Bigfoot work on a Classic ID?

TXhunter

New member
I use a Bigfoot on an MXT so my wife is wanting one for her Classic ID if it will work. I assume the one for the XLT will work as it's the same frequency but I thought I better ask here first. Reading the Jimmy Serria site I would guess the entire coil would work in discriminate and just the from half in pinpoint.

So has anyone actually used one on the Classic ID and can tell me if and how good it performs.

Thanks,

Harold

Harold I would E-mail Sierra products and get it from the horse mouth as they make them for Whites units...I doubt it as I feel they will not work on units that come with an 8 inch coil, but could be wrong. XLT has a facet called absolute value whereas half the loop goes dead for pinpointing this would not be possible on a classic and if it did work you would have to pinpoint with a 18 inch long coil...If buying used remember they made three bigfoot coils ( one for older whites, one where wires could be switched for either old or new and one for newer whites and am sure Jimmy could supply you with the numbers for same..
