That is what the wife said to me this morning as I headed to the beach with 4" of snow on the ground and in the low 30's temp. I picked up the AT PRO yesterday but couldn't get out with it. All next week supposed to be in low teens's to 20's as highs, with much snow and up to 50 mph winds.
Got out for about 2 hours. Couldn't detect the hole beach because 1/8" to 8" of snow on the beach. Some sand frozen solid and some I could dig. Left a number of good signals near the water because I couldn't dig there, like rock. Also had hard time hearing near water because wind and 4' waves just crashing onto shore. The AT was quiet all over the beach. I ran default sensitivity in pro zero mode 00 iron and iron off and it ground balanced about 90. Very easy to GB. I pushed the GB button and pumped it up and down until no sound. GB'ed 3 different times, I always do that when I move some distance or when I have not GB'ed in some time. I dug all that I could and dug repeatable targets no matter what the reading or sound. Dug many bottle caps, pull tabs, braver tails full/half, foil, rusty iron, bobby pins, etc... Junk but I can see with a little time with the AT you can get a good idea of what is about to be dug up. Just 3 bobby pins and I was already starting to get the hang of it with them.
I think I do have a problem with the connector for the headphones because I can not screw the connector down more than about 1/2 turn. The signals were scratchy and only surface targets were solid hits. Don't much care for the headphones. Tried to reconnect phones but hands got cold and there isn't much room for fingers (especially cold fingers) to turn the connector down. The connectors are not for quick changes in coils or headphones. You have to be careful and not much room for fingers to turn connectors down.
ATPRO is nose heavy but it only took a few minutes to get used to it. The arm rest is kind of short. Thank you Garrett the headphone connector that is finally on the right side for a left handed person.
What do I think of the ATPRO? I like it even though it has some things I don't like about it. I looked at the manual yesterday and went out there today and I found stuff so it is easy to use. Now all I have to do is spend time tweaking and understanding more about the AT.
I am just an old guy that likes detecting and I always need to dig everything for weeks to see what a detector will do and than I start looking into what is beyond the default settings.
Here is what I found today. The nickle came in at 51 pull tabs are in middle 50's. The ring is stamped 14K but is gold plated. I found it near a wall and if you run parallel to the wall with a long parallel continual swing you can pick out targets almost at the wall.
Thanks for reading and hope it has helped.. HH

Good post. Great title! Too bad about the ring. It looks pretty spiffy. I'll look forward to seeing what you find when you have had that AT Pro for awhile.
