Wife problems

Does anyone else have trouble convincing their wife that detecting is as important if not more so than cleaning the yard or working? Or is it just me?

Ohhhh Yeah brother! :sadwalk: ...cleaning the yard and working are both big wastes of time...the yard will need to be cleaned a week after you are dead, and a job is often a temporary and unprofitable nuisance!

You go and tell her to shut her big yapper and you do what you want! Let me know how that works out for ya..:stretcher:

I do not like the sight of blood so please warn me in advance if you are ever foolhardy enough to make a statement like that. I try to balance detecting time and honey do time. I am retired and can sometimes get out three days a week. In the past two weeks I have been out only twice as I had three rooms in the house to paint and a new ceiling fan to put up. Honey Do's are done and today i had to have surgery on my right hand to release a "Trigger Finger" caused by too much time swinging a coil. Quite frequently my bride of 49 years 9 months will notice that I am getting antsy and will suggest that she hears my detector talking about an outing.

And she tells you to get your backside in gear and get busy if you expect to live peacefully for any amount of time.

My wife retired the same day/hour I did. But I still get the projects done around the house, it's just that I do them when I feel like it. Much the same as she feels about cooking meals, doing laundry, cleaning house, etc.. . :cheekkiss:

buy her a detector and see how she takes to it.. if she doesn't take to it, remind her of the golden rule...he who finds the gold( coins, rings, necklace earrings etc) usually profits from th experience..

I tell mine if you ask me to do something I will do it. Just give me some time!.... You dont have to keep asking me every 6 month!!! :)
