Widescan

I'm thinking the 3 x 18 widescan coil for H.O.T machines might be good for my Vaquero. Soccer fields, open park areas, that sort of thing.

Any comments would be appeciated if you have ever tried one of those coils.

I use the 3x18 CS coil on my oldest SS and it is great in our neutral soil, parks schools and playgrounds.
NOT a new machine w HOT circuit.

I would strongly advise purchase.
Great for wide open areas or when new to a site to find out where the action might be...

I would like opinions which might be best of the smaller coils for the 10mhz frequency machines.
4" ? 5.75" ? not sure...

The 4" is fine for the nastiest of trashy sites, but, with a Tesoro, the depth and overall performance is a little lacking for more general use. I'd definitely go with the 5

Well thanks for the correction, and advice Monte...

I DON"T want to dig deep. I mostly do public places and am on great terms with the landscape staff.

Most of em know me after the years and wave when the see me. I leave no evidence of my passing.

MOF, While searching a park under major reconstruction, I found a deep target. After talking with the staff,
they agreed that I should borrow their shovel to dig it up so beepers wouldn't continue messing up the turf
trying to get down to it after everything was re-done.

Target ended up being 20" of old rusty 1 1/2" cast iron pipe about 2ft down.

Would you know if my Pantera is same frequency as my Silver Sabre?
My manuals are many years gone and I want to swap coils between them.

Thank you
