New member
is the 11 inch widescan for the uMax a DD coil????

DD is a description of the shape of the coils themselves (two D shaped coils back to back with a little overlap). Widescan is the shape of the field they produce.

thankyou for that !!!! anyone have an 11 inch they want to sell for a uMax

If you post a "wanted to buy" (WTB) ad on the classifieds here, that might "scare one up".

Yea that's what is means , wish they would call it a DD coil , why stuff around with words like wide-scan '

Time to do what your loyal fans want Tesoro , come on ~ take note its 2011 , your last new machine was 2004 !

DD or Widescan coil may not be as deep as a cocentric, but it's better at unmasking targets, especially in "mineralized"
ground..To me,the word "mineralized" means ANY type ground! Therefore,a DD "sees" much better in ANY GROUND than a cocentric, but is a little more expensive to manufacture..AND a cocentric is MUCH easier to pinpoint with!
Choices,choices!!!
