I have a Vaquero which coil would be best for the beach?
Do I have this right the 3" x 18" will cover more ground but the 12" x 10" will go deeper?
Thank You
Jim

I like the 3 x 18" better on the beach because it covers faster and the depth is enough, I think, to find most of the recent drops. And it's sensitive to small items. Pinpointing is dead nuts accurate using the front tip. You can walk at a faster pace and cover every square inch in front of you without gaps. I buried a dime about 5" in the sand and detected it.

i agree with jabbo - i only use the 3x18 on the beach + cover a tremendous amount of beach. i have dug pickings at least 6" deep

I also have both coils with my Vaquero and agree, the CS coil will do better.
