thinking of trying some wide scan coils when i get my eldorado i mainly hunt old colonial home site s and fields and such just want opinions on which to get and how effective they are or should i just use these as beech thing?
I've used the 7" widescan on my Eldorado to search old logging camps in the woods around here with good results. I was digging larger targets like large old food cans at 15 - 16" with very strong signals. Didn't try any of my concentrics because the 7" ws was performing very well so didn't bother to change it. The widescans should give better performance when mineralization is a problem, but haven't tried it on salt water beaches or beaches heavy to black sand.
