Hi All,
Got a 1943 s war nickel in tonight's hunt this is the 5th one this year. Now my question the first 4 rang in at around 5 -6 on my xs but tonight the 1943 s rang in at 24 any ideas on why. I thought it was strange so when I got home I tested a 1942 p rang in at 6 tested a 1943 p rang in at 6 tested tonight's 1943s rang in at 24. Strange thanks diggervance

I've heard different explanations for it. Makes you think some may have more silver than others. Or maybe the other metals leech away after being in the ground a long time. I dug one a couple weeks ago with a text book Indian Head ID.
