WHY WE CAN'T FIND A GOLD CHAIN ?? FOR EXP'S

pennies

New member
I FOUND THE ANSWER ON THE EXPLORER FORUM.. PROFESSOR CODY POSTED THE ANSWER ON 9/12/ 05..HE GETS PRETTY TECHNICAL IN HIS ANSWER BUT WHEN HE SAID "YOUR DETECTOR WILL SEE THE CHAIN AS THE GROUND AROUND IT", THAT WAS ENOUGH FOR ME:minelab::super:

Chains are a problem... The detector will only see it one link at a time; even if it's balled up. (I've tried that at home).. since it's so "weak", the Exp, as well as others may look at it like it's mineralization.

The guy I talk to at my local MD shop said whenever you find a pendent; something that looks like it fell off a chain, carefully listen around that area for the slightest hit, anything. You just might get lucky and find a chain. I would try to raise the sensitivity, go into IM -16 and raise the gain.

A couple of weeks ago, I found 2 chains. 1 sterling and one 18K gold filled- but both had something hanging from the chain. That's the only reason why I found them. They were very iffy signals...

to get my Exp back! I'm starting to shake

All kidding asided, not having the machines hasn't been that bad since I wouldn't have had time to go out that much anyway. Been working 6 days a week the last couple of weeks. Then there's church, choir, worship team and the band. Whew! :) Still, it's going to be nice to get out next weekend. I'll plan on gettting to the State park at sunrise and hit 3 pretty big mulch playgrounds. Woo Hoo! Here's a couple of shots of where I'm going:
