Why update to 4.1 if I don't use the Deus pinpointer?

If v4.0 works well for you, keep it. I've read there is a bit more stability in v4.1 though. Yes, you will lose all your saved programs.

And 4.1 has the ground sensitivity thing so you no longer get phony ground info. Go to the xp site and read up.

Thanks. Guess I'll have to write down all my settings for my saved programs.

That's good to know. I never even knew I had a ground sensitivity problem. How would one know?

The XP Deus web site seems a little sketchy on updating.

I think it says not to use the cable that you use to charge the coil, control unit and headphones.

So do the coils need to be updated or just the control unit and headphones? (I just have LF coils).

Use the SINGLE wire connector for the update, NOT the 3 wire connector you use for charging. And yes, you need to update all the coils and headset. The only coils not updated are the HF coils.

Tony the coils LF coils do need to be updated. You will need to have your coils connected to the charger clip one at a time when the update tells you to do so also the headphones when told to. The update is easy.

Thanks, Todd.
Your program is my favorite, the one I trust the most, and so I surely don't want to lose it. I'll just have to write down all the settings.

CT_Todd said to make sure the coil is connected to its charger. However, in the video, it looks like the coils update AFTER the control unit is updated and that the coils update wirelessly.

They wrote it a little confusingly. All you have to do is be sure everything is fully charged. Don't have to be ON the charger.

i just wish the xy coords were in range so that you could see them without all the zooming in which doesnt seem to work all that good..they are far out of range

This may provide some clarity.
The charging leads have to be connected prior to updating
