Why Tesoro ?

 Hi everyone, :detecting: Almost every time I go out with hunting partners that use different brand units,... they ask me the same question. " Why do you use Tesoro?" Most of the time they look puzzled about how such a small box on a detector can be just as effective as their big box units. What would you guys tell them?

It gives you more bang for the buck. They think they need to spend more to find stuff and need the security blanket of a display. Wrong answer, they just don't know any better. But- to each his own.

I would ask them the same question then see what they say about theirs. Heck I like tesoros and always have. Neat machines. Tim

I have a cousin with a very high dollar detector.. I tell him to lead and I will follow behind and just laugh at him. Many times I will find something that he missed. I will ask him if he wants to try a good detector for a while. He don't know what to say. His wont even pick up my gold chain that I wear that I found. I was using my COMPADRE. That should tell him how good that little thing is... KEN

Dollar for dollar, pound for pound a Tesoro can't be beat. Lifetime warranty, great personal service, discrimination second to none...the list goes on and on. I have had most brands but always go back to Tesoro. IMHO

I would ask, as I have so many times, so, what will your detector find, that mine can't? In the end, whether you spen $150 or $1,500, if your having fun and finding treasure, then . . .

Mike. Now that reply right there is the best one i heard thus far.To me i really don't give 2 hoots what anyone else is using,to each their own.Machines with all the bells and whistles to some are great extra tools to have but the tones is what i go for don't care about multi-tones and numbers to me are just that.Tesoro is a great machine and my $160 Compadre suits me just fine, the folks at Tesoro are in my mind the best out there and they stand behind their machines and so do i.

I look at it like this....
I have 2 brands I use themost, and the differance between them is very little....
The thing about those 2 detectors of different brands is that one is a golds detector that can find coins....
The other a coin detector that will cove a lot of ground and find coins and gold items quie well....
And that other brand of detector weighs almost as little as the Tesoros I use.
The weight is a BIG thing to me...
Yet I get to hunt almost 3x as long as I can with all those heavy expensive ones that other guys use.
Some will claim they aregetting more depth.
Yet where I hunt there are no targets I plan to dig deeper than 3-5 inches.
..

Easy question to answer - Best detectors made and supported by the best folks in the business :tesoro::thumbup:.

the same answer when people ask me, why Linux? I mean, Why not? It works really well

Put a Tesoro in your hands for a day.....Take it for a test drive then try and few other makes and models.

You'll compare every other detector you use to the Tesoro and will come back to it.

Simple...Deep and light as a feather.

Best warranty available and customer service that is just fantastic.

What else is there to say.

Good question OP...

-I have a Vaquero

-It is a fun detector to use
-It is a challenging detector to learn (in a good way).
-Although it only has one tone, it is a very pleasant one
-Due to the silent search is a pleasure to use in iron infested areas and my go to detector (however this advantage disappears in open fields where there is not much iron)

i never touched i metal detector before today when my brand new tesoro tejon came in the mail today .within 2 min have it ground balanced figured out disc mode and alt disc easy . and the depth is just awesome . if i wanted power like this from another company i was paying out 1000 dollars on top of what i paid.

No one ever asked me yet but when they do I'm going to tell
them to put their gloves on, that we're goin Head to Head!

Tell them to show you what their detector can do and then
(on the same target) show em what your "T" can do !

Then say " And you're asking me why?" hahahahhhahhhah

I like Tesoro because it DOES NOT have a display. I can use two separate senses, sight and hearing, so I can see the ground and hear what is under it simultaneously. The display is like a crutch, diverting your attention and preventing you from developing the ability to hear the slight variations of sound indicative of what is underground. When I started, I hunted in discriminate. Now I hunt mostly in all metal. Hearing the magnetic deviations of the underground strata are so much more interesting than silence. There is another world underground which is history buried in the past. Deciding what to dig is up to you.
