People Keep Rushing Out To Jump On This Train and That Train For Newest And Latest Detector Out

tnsharpshooter made a very good comment:

Well,,,
I just bought 2 new detectors,,a CTX and a GPX 4500,,, these are more older trains I guess you can call them. I figure the only new train I will be hopping on in the future will be Deus version 4.0,,, if this train will ever show up for me to hop aboard....

One thing I see certain manufacturers doing that seems to be the ticket for a hot selling detectors..

It is called simple to operate for the performance available.

Any manufacturer who is indeed thinking about making a complicated to operate metal detector for sale to the general public,----- had better think TWICE.

Folks are busy as bees these days with work, family and other commitments ,,,,, they don't have time nor do they want to have to be mad scientists in order to find the correct potion to make a metal detector perform for them.

So like I said,,I have one train ticket left,, waiting on one train,, a specific train,,,so far the rides on this train have been both entertaining and surprising.

Cheers

I also made a post:

I like grabbing the detector with the fastest set-up, ready to hunt machine, easy to operate with the best performance.
Its one reason I like the DeepTech Vista Gold..If only Tesoro made such a detector in a smaller package like the Umax.
I would then definitely make a move back to owning a Tesoro.
Simple metered machines that work for me are the T2 and GoldBug Pro, Quest Pro. These detectors are fun to use..

Now if I want to work a bit with settings and controls, I will bring out the AKA Berkut that has a learning curve with just too many
control setting that the average detectorists will ever use or need. I like the option of having them.....

Tesoro has got it down with the KISS method, just in need of some extra fixes... in performance. Maybe with Allen Cannon on board......

Must admit i am starting to think the same way as both those have posted,in the last month or so i have bought a new Laser Trident 11 Extreme which is a UK hot version of the Vaquero, this machine in my mind ticks all those boxes as its very light and basically a switch on and go machine, but with extra depth and you can be detecting in seconds after arriving on your detecting permission without having to go through a checklist of have i got all those software settings right.

I also do have 'many' other machines and most of them are the latest offerings including the Deus,T2,TDI Pro and other site specific use machines, but of late i am grabbing the 'easy' to use Trident Extreme, which if i am honest i would have been the last person to admit to going back to switch on and go detecting, but the enjoyment and stress free of detecting has all of a sudden returned.

Wont part with any of my other machines but for the foreseeable future the Tesoro based Laser Extreme is my wand of choice.

Pretty nice job by Pentechnics.

During the design phase of the Trident II, Laser Metal Detectors knew that it was
going to be a very hard working detector.
It is designed as an all-around detector, able to do just about everything that any detectorist could want.
The main part of the Trident II versatility is the latest fixed or adjustable ground cancel option.
This will give the detectorist the choice between turn-on-and-go (Trident I mode)
or fully adjustable ground cancel to set up his machine to best suit
the mineralization conditions that he is working in.
The Trident II adds an ED180 discrimination feature to filter the trash from the treasure and
a Push Button Pinpoint that makes digging up the goodies that much easier.
The discriminate knob is also used to switch into a threshold-based All Metal Mode.

The Trident II has proved itself to be an all round performer and now
Pentechnic are proud to present the new

Tejon Power + Lobo Iron Rejection

New features include:
12v Battery System - 14Khz search frequency
Hi-Tone audio and more.......
MicroMAX design - All metal mode - Microprocessor technology - Frequency shift
Silent search Disc mode - Ground Balance Control - Fixed or adjustable ground balance

11"x 8" 2D Widescan Searchcoil OR 8.5" 2D Widescan Searchcoil

yep agree, I don't want to be wondering if I have the right settings every 20 seconds, took the F19 with 5" coil pretty much stays on there all the time for a spin yesty evening to a small park by the ocean , only thing I changed in the hunt was the gain in the hope to squeak out one more coin.

thing that got me was the fish & chip shop across the rd wouldn't turn the smell down , so I stoped at Coles on the way home and got some do it yourself fish & chips wasn't bad  and I am sure a whole heap cheaper that the fishy on the park.

ended up pinging 35 $ which is about as good as it gets around here these days and couple bits of silver so a good little hunt in a nice spot and what else is there to do on a Saturday evening !!

so I vote for easy set up back light and big ID numbers that pings on coins.

I knew it was time to go when I popped a zinc penny, that's the range the coins I was chasing come in at and when I find a zinc its always time to go means I am trying way to hard

so long winded but my vote is for easy, ctx might seem hard but round here once set up switch on and go also.

Sven, that is what the Caz should be like  the spec that is above is slightly wrong, everything is right but the Extreme runs at 18Khz instead of the 14Khz that is shown in the spec, the 14Khz is what the Vaquero uses, that is one of the major changes and makes it a little bit extra special.

nice machine but over priced where I live at over a 1000 $ I want a screen  if it was a few 100$ cheaper I would be on it.

I'll say it once more. Most coins and jewelry are only 3-4" deep. Many valuables mimic trash and are passed over. The laws are such that in some places you simply can't hunt- especially with some tearing up the landscape. Add to that the large number of enthusiasts buying detectors and making sites no longer unsearched. It would take a drastic change in technology to make an expensive detector viable. With it's lightning fast response and keen disc properties, I see the Tesoro statement of quality with simplicity a winner. The only missing quality is hard work- not gadgets. IMHO.

I agree slingshot most of my hunting is the work hard kind unless I have travelled and want to cherry pick, that's why my list has a lot of Tesoro's they do the job and are light what's not to like.

Is it just me, or are the "laser" tesoro machines available overseas seem to have better options than here in the USA? Hmmm

that one up there is a moded one by that company/person , Tesoro do make detectors with different features for other countries one of the French ones is nice.
