But Hay, It's Cold Outside!!!!!

[size=large]I have had people PM me and ask how to determine
what a single tone machine was tellin them. How to
interpret tha tones.

How do I hear tha tones telling me stuff?

It

Sounds like you have become one with you're Machine and that's what it takes to be good at.:detecting:

I understand perfectly what you're saying and I think its a great way to express it. My first machine was a Tesoro and the nuance of sound in that one tone is all its about. I still have a Tesoro Eldorado and if I can ever find another CW site to hunt (been a rather tough year) it will be pressed back into service, because of all the detectors I own it gets the best depth in all metal.

Hey Tabdog you are always a good read I have a fancy multi tone machine with meter and also have a Silver U

that i got first and learned you dint need multi tones or a meter i like both machines

I run the fancy tector with one tone most of the time and peek at ID sometimes i dont need a hi tone

to say its old coin or what ever if it sounds good i dig I think watching the ID and expecting it to land

on a certain # can be a bit of a trap cause it will change on soil depth trash and other variables

I know what you mean about tha Eldorado.

I had one. I sold it because I had a Euro Sabre which

is tha same thing with a low tone added for iron ID.

I go between tha Euro and tha Vaquero, most of tha

time when lookin for relics.

HH,

Tabdog

I like using multi tones.

I have nothing against multi tone.

Tha VCO all metal is a multi tone.

But I get a good fealing with tha

single tone silent search of a Tesoro.

That's why I have five of them.

My opinion is a narrow one, but one

that I know is shared by some other

detectorist.

What ever peeps your buzzer is alright

with me.

HH,

Tabdog

It disappeared! Imagine that!

Dave, you are not boring and you have an interesting story, IMHO. It says a lot about why you make your choices.
