The video works just click on the open image url .Well I had to try it . Be easy on me this is my first video . This is a hunt on my archery range lot's of coins , but took 4 times till I found one . Tones you must have the patience of a saint

Not bad Sube!

 You did real good on your first video Sube.

You're right those southern boys have no idea how good they have it...It wasn't nine below here today, but we have about the same amount of snow pack that you do...
I hate when people comment that "well the ground never really totally freezes in the woods"apparently they're not from this far north...but again a funny video I liked it, it should be mandatory watching for the Southerners...

on another forum there's a guy that has been recently posting stuff that he has been finding not too far from me. Obviously the guys full of baloney unless he is snowblowing two feet of snow to go to detecting, and then amazingly all he is finding is silver..

Gkman it was a week ago I made the video . The strange thing about it was once I got down 6 inches it started getting softer , with the heavy snow pack it maybe a early spring if the snow melts. We had over 50 days of sub zero weather here but the snow really has insulated the ground. out in the fields and bare ground the ground is froze 3 and a half feet :rage::rage::rant: .So those areas well take some time. sube

That's just sad. I went out this afternoon in a t-shirt. The temperature was about 72 degrees (above 0) and the ground was like cutting cake........moist cake. Nothing more than a handful of clad, but, it was fun. Gonna hit an old ghost town tomorrow, hopefully, there will still be some good stuff laying around under the pull tabs!

I can sympathize with you blue noses, I spent 5 winters in upper Michigan......I know what winter really is!!

I am packing my bags!

Yep until about 5 days ago we had that same kind of snowpack and below zero temps but we got some warming breezes and heavy rain and the snow is all gone....until more coming in this week :ranting: But Saturday 50 degrees and I just had to get out, surprise it was not that wet at the old school ground, easy to cut a plug. Got mostly clad some fake bling and two deep 8" wheats a 1928 and 1909 that were super crusty. But it did feel good to stretch the detecting muscles. :detecting:

Just 25 minutes after I wrote this ...yeah it's snowing again.... :rage:

Bell-Two I here you it's suppose to be below zero here for the next 10 day's :rage::rage::rant: I guess we will have to just read about all the great finds here on the forum .GKman can I come to . sube

road trip!

sube, like that propane torch detecting accessory!

It occurred to me watching you shovel that snow...
Minelab could make a fortune offering a 'Winter coil' option.

It would be a plastic snow shovel with the coil embedded in it!
Could kill two birds with one stone, shoveling snow while detecting!

Liked the video!

I haven't had my detector out since December (sigh...)
Minus 27C here (Edmonton, Alberta) this morning. That's minus 17F for you southern folks.
Talk about withdrawal...lol
Too bad I don't have a heater blowing on the display panel and a jackhammer to dig with ;)
Oh well...back to ice fishing...haha

You're so lucky Sube that it's been so cold. We had a thaw with about 2' of snow on the ground and now we have a foot of bullet proof snow. You can't even shovel it to get to the ground. I thought about taking out a chain saw and cutting a slab at a time and then hit the ground with a flame thrower. Actually, I do feel lucky that I'm only an hour north of the Long Island Sound and there are beaches you can hit at low tide. Beaches themselves are still frozen and covered with snow. We had 3 days it was above freezing that I managed to hit the beach. Tons of coins and I did manage to find gold.

Nice video Sube. I'm surprised that your CTX didn't need an assist from the blow torch though, She's only rated to run at 32 Degrees.

Come on Spring!

oh god when will it end....back to zero degrees here this morning.and for the next 10 days the temperature is expected to be at or below freezing down to one or two degrees.I may have to borrow that blow torch

It well end when that asteroid hits and warms it up 18 below here today and 5 more days below zero .:rage: sube

You poor folks.......I sincerely feel for you. Friday and Saturday will be in the mid 70's here, supposed to be stormy on Sunday and then the good weather returns. There will be some swinging done on Friday and Saturday if my work doesn't get ahead of me.

Mind you, I'm not rubbing it in, because I know that in the summer when we are oppressed with 100+ temps, you will be quite comfy in the 60's and 70's. We all need two homes.....one north and one south or, maybe, just one one the equator?

Nice Roland... it's 0.0 here, and another decent snowstorm on its way

That's nice! Two homes would be very nice! I like Florida and I go there 2 or 3 times a year!
