That's what I wonder. This is my favorite forum because I run the MXT but it has been so slow lately... Wish it would pick up with some good discussions.

My first and only detector is a Garrett GTA 1000 PM and have been using it for just over a year. I really enjoy it. When i decide to move up to a newer detector in a year or two i will hold on to this one for sure. In the meantime ,i am getting an idea of what i may want to step up to. The MXT may be the one and so i enjoy reading the posts on here. Happy diggin <img src="/metal/html/glasses.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":geek:"> .

I think you'd really love the MXT but then it is the only detector I've owned so I can't compare. I just know it works very well for me and is easy to operate. I like switching from the relic to C/J mode on signals. Relic has become my favorite though. HH

You are using my favorite Garrett the GTA 1000PM. I tried other Garretts and found this one worked the best for me. Now I use the Minelab mostly and do have a MXT for my wife that I too get to use. I think when you get ready to get a differnt detector you will find the MXT will do the job and better than some detector costing much more. The MXT really puts the fun into detectig.
