Why is this forum so stinking slow? Don't have the problem elsewhere.

When I was on dial up if I rebooted my computer things would get back up to speed. Also I'm wondering if you have more than one firewall or anti virus running at the same time that might be fighting over this forum. I have DSL now and had that issue. My email was slowing down. Click on a letter and maybe 15 seconds later it would open. Through a chat with support they determined I had the issue I discribed. Once I turned off the conflicting firewall things were back to normal. I don't know why but I know it worked.

I have no problems, but then I am scrupulous and keep my system pretty well scrubbed. Follow Kenny's advice and check into what just may be running in the background. It sounds like that is your culprit
Go to download.com and download a program called 'Ad Aware.' It's a spyware detection/eradication program and it's free. Use it once a week.
As for antivirus protection, there is only one the average user needs: Symantec's "Norton Anti-virus." It's worth what ever you'll pay, if you dont already have it. It's about $40 at WalMart.

It's only slow on this forum. I can go over to the TD forums and it's quick. Here it takesa forever just to pull up a post.

For me it's off and on; one day fast, next day slow.
Today it's lightning quick!
Sometimes TQ is slow, too, but others are just fine.
