Why is most messages unreadable??

I am new here and was wondering why alot of the messages have the dreaded circle with slash through it and I can't read them. I just recieved my first Detector...Garrett Ace 250 and am looking forward to getting some good info here.

That dreaded circle with the slash means "no talk" thats why you can't read them....there is nothing to read!
Good luck with the 250. seem to be a great machine.
