Why is Ferrous Mode Preferred?? <font color=#FF0000><i>*N/T*</i></font>

I prefer conductive mode, but do use ferrous when trying to eke out a few last finds in high iron areas where I must accept most iron in iron mask, just makes it easier to distinguish non ferrous items

For some of us, Ferrous tones make more sense when the screen is wide open, left to right.
Objects on the left (the iron side of the screen) make a lower tone. Objects on the right (where almost all of the good stuff lives) make a higher tone.
Ferrous tones are east and west relative to where a target is classified on the display. Conductive tones are north and south on the display and, with some level of discrimination, these tones might make sense.
