Why I shoudnt cherry pick a lot!

Back to the area I have hunted before, but this time put the ATpro in pro mode zero and dug everything with a medium tone and a taget ID between 40 and 82. Iwas ground balanced at 49 to 52 on this little lot. I did dig some high tones out of curiousity on all target ID numbers , but was junk. Every target I dug today was small, and today was a little schooling for me about proportional audio and The Target ID. I do look at the cursor , but dont rely on it at all like the depth ID. The standard mode picked up some targets in zero settings, but the pro audio is a winner. I know I am telling on my self here about the settings I hunt , but when you get into an area that has so much trash , you can give up real quick. Theres nothing great here to show with my pictures , but 4 wheat pennys , one clad dime , one copper memorial , one copper nail , copper wire , silver plated spoon handle . old fuse, a brass star, and a few other small brass and copper targets. I will admit here, I need to start over and go back to my previous hunts and reall y think about the medium, soft tones with a lower target Id . I have jumped through my butt again thinking I can figure it all up, but it is back to basics for me. Thanks for bending your ears

Four wheats plus bonus items looks like a real good hunt to me. Keep posting on that AT Pro. Thanks for the pics.

if you had cherry picked you would have got all of the good targets you dug. the copper and clad should all come in at the higher disc. settings you would use cherry picking a site.

I know that feeling with a really trashy site. I have a site over here in Aus that has had a couple of building demolitions over the past century ,plus all the other trash. When I first got the AT , this was going to be my learning curve site. But all the trash got to me so I gave up for a while. But gave it another go this year and have gained a real respect for this detector. Finding old coins now that I had no doubt past over before in my impatients. Hey ,and when I get home I get to clean my AT under he hose

Dude I have'nt found a wheat penny since October or early November.....nice finds !!!!
