I haven't been able to hunt as much in the last 2 years as I previously did when I first got my Sovereign, but the last couple of weeks I was able to get out for a couple of hunts. Anyway Last Saturday morning after Bible Study I headed to a spot which runs along a main street and at the end of our high school football field. Every home game this stretch of side walk is packed with people in their lawn chairs watching the game. My idea was to go and try to find some new money just to get out for a while. I know this strip has been hunted several times by a gentleman that drives my daughters bus (with a whites). AND HERE IS WHY I LOVE MY SOVEREIGN!!!
I made 1 pass (took about 1 1/2 hours) along the sidewalk and what do ya know,
1907o Barber dime, 1902 Indian, 5 wheat's, 1913 to 1942 and $1.80 in new money.
(3) coins were surface change. (2) mems and (1) quarter.
