If it wasn't in the uk I would send mine in for this.....

And if someone would put a remote PP switch for us, I bet there are many who would gladly pay for this service....

Just my thoughts, but maybe I'm wrong.......

Never mind, I guess someone does it..... I just had to search more.........Any negatives to this installation????????

Check out Joe Patrick,s Insight Meter i just had my unit done by Joe great job it works prefect and all work done in USA Penn. Jim

The only "negatives I can see are the ID numbers are bit smaller, you no longer have a speaker in your detector, and there is nor ID chart on the meter like on the SunRay meters.

Other than that I think the positives (meter always with you, less susceptible to being knocked out of adjustment, and lighter... etc) outweigh the negatives.

Other negatives...Won't work with SEF coils. If the box is mounted on the shaft it's not handy to look at. You can never use another meter other than that one. If you are the type who chest or hip mounts the control box I could see why that meter would be attractive.

Let us know how you do with your Insight will you? I am itching to send my Sov in and have Joe convert it.

Hi Lutzy the brown leather bag is a piece of a carpenters work belt i picked up at Ace hardware 8.00 i still have the other half just in case i need another one, it has 2 pouch,es prefect for what ever you need in the hunt i threaded wire ties through the metal eyelets on the military issue pistol belt 4.00 Army Surplus ,the Minelab patch was givin to members of the ADT by a Minelab rep. who was out hunting with us one day last Fall, the hip bag i got from England it,s made by Protector,s the same bag as the minelab brand .
