Seems that Tesoro is unaware the we need a machine like this here in the states...

I always liked the first Euro Sabre based on the Eldorado Umax circuit.....

Now there's a new Euro Sabre II ..

Offer's Iron I.D. though a low tone audio...Perfect setup 2 tone ...

If they can build this....You know they can buld a Tejon like this...that would be a awesome...

A Tejon with iron I.D. to find/explore the habitation spot's is on my wish list...

Thought I would share a Pic...

I also have wondered why they build different machines for different countries and to take the question one step farther. I have read several threads that some of the US machines will not work well in parts of the US, but yet they are sold there and then they have a unhappy costumer. Seems that some kind of ground balance would take care of that issue, maybe even a adjusting screw that the operator could turn to eastern or western, but I understand that would add to the cost to the detector.

Tesoro seems to be one of the best companies out there and I am sure they have a good reason for what they do.

Oddly the best part I can see is the color scheme!! I love it! The 2 tone would be awesome too.

I was all excited about trying to buy a Euro Sabre II in the USA until I read this;

" They say soil over seas is not as mineralized as in the US, add that factor in and the Euro is not the greatest here. I find the guys here who buy a Euro end up selling it in a short time or stick them in the closet. There are plenty of detectors also made overseas that are highly praised for the impressive depth they achieve.
So the US guys needing to satisfy their hunger, decide to order some and pay the big bucks only to be disappointed at the lack luster depth they get here. Something to think about."

Posted by sven back in June of 2010. That gave me some pause.

Thoughts?

Good Hunting,

Well, well...

I'm an European hunter...:detecting:

And I think the lucky ones are just you, fellow US hunters...Why?

Very simple : I live in Belgium. Center of Europe...Brussels, capital of Europe, etc...

Now, when we want to buy a Tesoro, this isn't as easy as one should think.

In Belgium, one can find about all tesoro models with the "US" look. But, as an exception, we may choose our Compadre out of 5.75 and 8" coils versions. Non interchangeable coils of course.(For the record, I own an 8" version and am very happy with it !)

Then, close to us (Belgium is MUCH smaller than some of US states...) we have France. Their Tesoro "pro" line offers BLACK machines. Compadre has a volume knob and a coil connector, some names of models are in french (Vaquero = conquerant, Eurosabre = Invincible), and they are sold in packs too (two coils and bluetooth transmitter, though the latter is a french initiative and does not concerns Tesoro factory).

Also close to us, we have the Netherlands. We share the same Tesoro line, except they have a Cibola Hollandia, which claims to be "true ED180", and is sold with the lobo's elliptical coil.

We must also tackle the case of Germany, same range of detectors as Belgium, but has a Cibola and Vaquero "Germania (II)", with the same specs as the Hollandia (can you guys follow?) BUT the 8x9" coil as standard, not the elliptical one.

And then the UK.

Wondering what happened to the original Silver SABRE

Hi Nick, and Many Thanks, for the good info ! That should help many of us understand the situation much better. It is always best to be well informed before possibly venturing into new territory, and especially when it may not be time for that venture. Thanks again, and HH, Charlie

Here in the good 'ol U.S.A. we also have the opportunity to buy on the 'used' market, the good older models like the org. Bandido, Bandido ll and a cult favorite in the UK the orig. Silver Sabre.

Hi,
I agree with Nick Hunter, In Czech republic are all tesoros look at US models, OK, ES II is any deviation only, and when I ask my dealer about Vaquero with "fix".... Only laughing I heard.... And prices are significantly up to US, and guarantee is 3 or 2 years only. If you buy a machine overseas, you probably lose a guarantee, I have not why is other guarantee here. Maybe

That explains why Tesoro isn't working on anything new and improved. They are too busy repackaging the old stuff for Europe. Hopefully the new releases from the other mfg will force them to invent instead of repackage.

Tesoro need a hight powered H.O.T machine with tone id. Simpe powerful and what we want. Perhaps a cross between a Tejon and a Golden u max.

Hi guys,

I forgot to tell you about our "american dream" tesoro ....

You don't have the Eurosabre, we don't have the Golden

Hi Nick,

I did buy back to arsenal Vaquero, what I will charged very big coil. I am waiting now for its 15x17 wheel....
So, why? Reason is a frequency, I need some toy for "blind" areas with no numbers of signals. About deep it is comparable with Tejon in negative mode GB both. And in disk is better for irons, I mean part of farmers machines....
And about size of coins, season of big coins is now, surface is wet you can go deeper. Last weekend I did swinging on Friday with Tejon on the field, and I have number of relics, buttons, nice irons too, horseshoes and BC bronzes. But area was infected due replacing any trash sand from road construction and repairs. I change a detector for next day and with Lobo I digged large Cu coins from first half of 18. century and medallions. It was other singing there then.
So, it standard.

regards

UK has a Tejon Pro, extended "All Metal" accept, black colour scheme, and something hotted up in the internal circuitry. Oh yeah, only 1 year warranty's, the life time ones are only in the N American market.
Nick, the Cibola is ED180. Not sure if the Vaquero is.

We sold this in the states from 2001 to 2003. The people of the United States did not like it. So we stopped selling it.

Maybe because I am half Canadian but I liked the Euro Sabre real well (I just wasn't bright enough to keep it).
