Why Did Finding Clad Make Me Happy?

Bell-Two

Active member
Yep it is nothing but clad but boy oh boy I am happy, why you ask? Well it was my first hunt in 6 weeks and first since my hip replacement. My walking has gotten much better in the last few days and I was moping around the house reading all the great posts and watching the videos of all the fantastic finds my friends were making. Now don't get me wrong I am excited and happy for all of you but you know it just made me more itchy to get out there. Diane saw how I was feeling and she said let's go out, you swing the coil and I will dig for you....wow what a sweet girl! So that is what we did for about an hour which was about as long as I could go. We went down to a local modern park because I knew we would find something there. Ended up with a quarter, dime, 4 copper memorials, 1 Canadian penny and a zink. It felt good I was able to pinpoint everything right on for her and even told her what would be there :heh:....well except for the Canadian! Here is a picture of my "Magnificent Finds" And one of me doing the happy dance!

Glad to hear you are recovering. Now I'm sure Diane will not mind digging some of that DEEP silver. :clapping: She may have arms big as Pop-Eye's by the time you make full recovery. Hope you continue to do well. HH :minelab:

Great to hear you are recovering and thanks for bringing to our attention some things many of us take for granted

Glad to hear you are getting around! You'll be digging silver in no time!

LOL!!!!!!

Glad to see your not letting the small stuff keep you down.

WELCOME BACK :cheekkiss:

Any Finds Are GOOD FINDS:thumbup:

Let Diane know that my Arms are very Impressive and no swingy motion at all

Regards and Best Wishes to you both,

Eva

Better than pulltabs. Some days I feel the same and if I get a wheatie its a good day. Just good to get out sometimes-glad your'e back in the hunt!

Glad to hear that you are up and about and detecting again. You were most likely driving your wife crazy being in the house and she had to do something (just kidding). It was very thoughtful and sweet that your wife was willing to do that for you. As far as clad making you happy, I'm the same way, I'm happy every time I go out, even if I do not find a thing. Not to much longer before you're out for an extended hunt.

You are right on E-Trec-Virginia, I was driving her crazy in some ways, but she understood since she wasn't getting out to detect either. She said it felt good to dig plugs again. I told her to take her E-Trac when we went out and she said no that she would just follow along with me and listen to my signals so she could learn more....this is coming from a girl who graduated from a X-Terra 705 which she used to find quite a few silvers including a Franklin Half, and with her second hunt with the E-Trac found a SLQ and in the next hunt a nice Merc and a Large Cent....she doesn't need much training! :twodetecting:

Excellent!!! Great that you are up and about! Your finds will undoubtedly improve as you continue to improve physically!

That's fantastic that your wife enjoys detecting and it appears that she is really good at it. My wife is very intelligent (and pretty too) and does many things better then I can do them, but she is always asking me for my opinion or help. I think that is her way of making me feel good about myself, even though I know that she knows more about the subject than I do. Not saying that you're wife is a better detectorist then you are, but she may be that type of spouse that makes you feel special, like my wife does.

I've had no luck though trying to get my wife to detect with me. Not her bag. How, I'm trying to get my 24 year old son interested. Sometimes, it nice to have a hunting partner to share stories with and the excitement of the finds.

Wish you continued health in your recovery and you are 100% recovered for the 2012 detecting season.

Bell, glad you are on the mend. Nice looking pile O clad ya got there. I am on the mend too. Right knee replacement was a success, but the therapy is killin' me. Can't even think of hunting, let alone driving. My wife is driving me around for therapy app't.'s and Dr. app't.'s. She is also driving back and forth to her mother's house taking care of her. I am only 4 weeks out from my surgery. And I can hardly wait till I can get out again, but it was my choice to get my knees replaced this year, my left will be replaced on June 11th. I haven't even been out taking pictures.........NGE

Congrats! How's everything feeling? I hope rehab is going great for you.

Congrats and Welcome Back Bell!!!

Heal and get whole & Great Luck!

Thanks everyone, getting closer, should be able to dig my own plugs in about 3 weeks. My walking is getting better everyday. Just need to build up more endurance and strength. I know that will come with time and determination. John quotes Jesus who was talking to the crippled man lying on his mat next to the pool of water.

John 5:6 When Jesus saw him lying, and knowing that he had spent much time, He said to him, Do you desire to be made whole? (MKJV)

My answer is yes!
