Why buy Andy's New Book? **Read Me**

I received Andy's new book earlier this week. I have already read it cover to cover at least four times. And a couple of the chapters at least a dozen times!!! In my opinion it is a must purchase for anyone with an E-Trac as it helped me understand how to make the transition from the SE to this new detector. Andy has done a great job of explaining the differences between the Explorer series and the E-Trac. In addition, he has provided some great information on how the E-Trac responds to good targets under the coil (I especially appreciate the chapter regardling the FE-12 line and the FE bounce. Since it was going to be my first hunt after absorbing all the information in this book I decided I should hit the oldest park in my town. It has been at least a year since this park has given up any silver, so I figured it was the best place to apply some of the knowledge I took from the book. I quite pleased to report that by applying the things I learned from the book helped me liberate some nice coins from the ground. I picked up 3 silver dimes, 1 old bus token, 7 wheats as well as a handful of clad while minimizing the amount of rusted nails/iron that I had to dig. All I can say is THANK YOU, ANDY for putting together another great book and helping me get "up to speed" on my new detector.

That is really good to hear, I am waiting for my Etrac and have been reading Andy's book over and over. I have a hard time putting it down.

Thanks for sharing

It is a great book. I've read mine a couple of times through and try to skip most of the stuff on the SE, even though I have one. It's not easy reading for me. I really have to concentrate to 'get' what it all means. I second the stuff about the 12 ferrous line. Never really understood that concept until the book. Jim

Fantastic result Txbluesman, you've got me stirred up now !!!

I'm waiting for Andys book, ~ any day now...

And I have an Etrac coming in 5 days....:jump:

I stopped back by the same park as I had a couple hours before I was suppose to putting up our XMAS lights... nabbed another silver. The book sure does a great job of helping you understand the E-Trac "language" and how to configure the detector to your hunting enviroment.

Good going Tx ...

Supposed to be putting up the Xmas lights eh !!!

Heh heh...

Snowy, I did manage to get the XMAS lights up before my wife said anything... 28 strings of lights around the house, whew! Glad it is only once a year!!!

-oops - I guess I do have to take them down in a month.
