Tell me what you think of the coil. Does it meet your expectations such as its weight, depth, target seperation, ease of pinpointing etc.How does it compare to the White's 10" D2. Would you recommend it? Just looking for some feedback on the coil. HH Dennis in Idaho

http://www.findmall.com/read.php?25,829651,829651#msg-829651 Never use the one from whites Larry tested one.My ex coil is great it is the round one from kellyco .Took a little time to get use to pinpointing real stable sometimes so quite i do not think it is working i will run it over the buckle on my boot to make sure, depth is great. Also had to slightly drill my hole a little bigger for my bolt to fit through.Yes it met my expectation on weight depth target separation is great and it will pick up really small items 5 to 6 inches deep http://www.findmall.com/read.php?25,829651,830003#msg-830003 These items relic mode high tone.As for pinpointing i get get get it then i don't it kind of funny for me but never a real problem sometimes it is of to the side or front.Works good on beach here fresh water but haven't seen to many detector work good on this beach but my 6" ex and my 10"ex do better than anything else i have used .I would recommend it for my soil my area.I know everyone is probably at work now but there is a few people on this forum who have the ex and some have the whites don't know if there is a big difference i was told the whites was a ex coil just closer tolerance.Larry should know Rcasio44 has one and i believe Larry tested the whites coil. But my ex coils work better than any coils i have better than whites coils i have and the whites coils are no dogs either i just prefer the ex coils for me.Hope this helps some i thought you had most of these coils.

Thanks Fred. Yes I have a number of Excelerator coils and enjoy them for their quality and performance, but I don't have the 10". I was just wondering who was using it and how they were doing with it. Thanks for your response you helped me out a lot. HH Dennis in Idaho

The EX 10" DD is made in Germany I believe Fred. The White's in good ole USA. Both coils work about the same but the White's D2 coil is made to higher/tighter standards.

Hi Dennis, you know I use the 10" and am still doing great with it. I never had the problem with the bolt hole. I agree with Larry except for not being optimized for the Vision I don't think there is much if any difference with the D2. Steve mentioned he had some of his older Whites coils work with the Vision boost feature and even one of his Excelerators. There is no guarantee. I like the added depth the 10" gives me. Rob

Thanks guys. I think you have answered my questions. HH Dennis in Idaho

Steelheadfever, I see you said you had almost all of the Excelerator coils. How dose the 6" or the 8" do compared to the whites 5.3 coil on the MXT ? I use the 5.3 90% of the time. Will the EXCEL. do better as a all round coil. Will they go deeper? Thanks much, Flintstone

I don't have all the Excelerator coils but I have a few. I don't have the White's 5.3 coil either so I can't make a comparison between it and the 6" and 8". All I can tell you is that the 6" Excelerator is my favorite coil for working trashy areas. It has good depth, great target seperation, pinpoints right on and its pretty accurate with the VDI numbers. The same could be said about the 8" except it covers more ground and gets a little better depth than the 6", but not by much. I use the Whites 6x10 DD most of the time and I really believe it is the best all around coil for the MXT hands down. HH Dennis in Idaho
