Who's tried Eneloop rechargeable batteries in their Safari or Quattro?

I bought a set for my Quattro they are 1900 mAh out of the package new they measured 1.328 volts using my multimeter. I put them in my battery pack and turned it on and it liked one bar being a full battery symbol. How many hours do you guys get on a set of these before needing to recharge them? I am putting a spare set of alkalines in my detector bag in case the charge runs down on these while out hunting. I'd like to get one of the RNB batteries for it but just don't have the spare cash for one right now!

I use Eneloops exclusively. Charge them on a MAHA charger and Love them. I never have timed them, but they last at least as long as the alkalines I have used (about 15hrs). I usually just run them dry and swap out my spare set. If I am going a long distance from the truck, I just put in a fresh set.

I think mine are the 2000mah, so I am on the low end of what eneloops can do(i think there are some that are 2400 or 2800mah...?). I really dont pay any attention to the battery indicator, so I cant say anything about that.

All that said, the RNB battery sure looks nice, but as I like to have a spare ready to go, I'd have to buy 2 to suit the way I hunt. Just too pricey to justify in my case. And I have standardized to AAs for all my electronics where possible.

Kin I figured later if I get the RNB I will use my Eneloop battery pack as my backup and use the RNB as my primary. Usually I only hunt 5-6 hrs in a whole hunt so the Eneloops will probably work for me fine. If they last as long as a set of alkalines I may just buy another set of Eneloops due to the fact I have a spare battery pack.
