Who's going hunting this weekend?

Hank68

Well-known member
I'm headed out in the morning to hit some old home sites, stay safe happy hunting, Hank!

We're headed out bright and early! Got several options...

Good luck!

I wish I was able to get out this weekend, however I have too many projects around the house that need to be done. I will be thinking of you as I toil around the house. Maybe I can figure out a way to include detecting into my projects........?

Coundn't sleep anymore after that...sure hope that dime turns itself into a dollar coin cache by sun-up, and also hope I can remember where it was in my dream, so up to read the posts, drinking coffee, meditating on where it might be, plot a route, and hit it! Good Luck!
Mud

I'm going to head out tomorrow and see If i can't find some civil war relics in the same field a button was found in.
First time detecting this year and I hope the grass isn't too high

Headed to Galveston

I planned for 2 weeks to go this Saturday, but my elderly Mama is under the weather and I have to stay close to home. I finally got a computer back at the house again and I only live 3/10's of a mile from her house and I can get up there pretty quick if she needs me. HH to all the members and their families that are able to get out and do some dirt fishing. We got a lot of rain in our area about 3 weeks ago and with the high temperatures and the standing water the mosquitoes are terrible.

I wish the best to all you guys, sometimes we have to tend to other things but we all will hit the field soon! Happy hunting, Hank!

Here's the take today.

Not bad for three hours. The ring turned out to be plated copper. It had my pulse racing till I cleaned it! The chain appears to be plated. But the square charm just may have diamond chips. They have a lot of fire.

Nice finds sailorman, but I had to work this weekend and I thought I was off arrggg!

Having to work for a living sure can get in the way of hobbies. But it does beat the opposite!

Yep!

I drug out my Garrett GTAX1000 after it hung dormant for about eight years, bought new in Feb. of '97. I used it alot back in the day. So I threw in some new cells and it came back to life. I will get out this weekend and hit some old sites under cliffs, miss the hunt.

Good to see the ole machine beeping again, good luck!
