Being as I'm an old dude, I got up with the chickens this morning. Outta bed at about 5:15, down the stairs and hit the drive way running.
My hunting buddy was waiting for me. Loaded up the Pro and headed out to--------------well we had no clue to where. LJ my hunting partner said
"Let's try some Buss Stops. I'm thinking, yeah right!
If you live in a small town or really, any town where the bus stop is close to a grocery store or convienence store with grass around the bus stop,
do not pass them up. LJ and I hit one lousy bus stop this morning. 21 quarter, 19 dimes, 2 nickels and 18 pennys and a lame hash pipe later, we
called it a day. Sun was well up in the sky and the temperature was already about 92. $7.43 in about an hour and 10 minutes. Not a fortune but a
nice little hunt. LJ got about $3.50.
My AT Pro was performing flawlessly. I was using it because my right shoulder was way to sore to use my CTX. Looks like I'm going to have
to have another rotator cuff surgery.
In the wet grass, pro mode, 35 descrim and 3 bars from full on sensitivity, quarters were hitting 86-87, dimes were almost all 81 with an occassional 82,
pennys were 81 for coppers and 75-6 for zincolns. We kind of let the zincolns go, cause the sun was getting very warm. The hash pipe read 84.
I dug a couple of coin spills with a quarter and two dimes and another with a quarter 2 pennys and a dime. Both read a solid 85 both ways. I rotated 90 degrees
bothe still read 85 both ways. Just a little informative blurb to let you know, if you don;t already multiple coins in the hole do not read the same as a single coin.
The long and short of the story is pay atention to Bus Stops with grass or dirt around the bench area. It will pay dividends. I'm a beliver now!
Thanks for viewing------------------------Good Luck---------------------Happy Hunting------------And--------KEEP POSTING---------------we all learn from it.
