Who will be the one to find the Lost Dutchman Mine in Arizona? ...............

Kelley (Texas)

New member
I first heard about this lost mine when just a young boy...had many dreams about finding it. This lost mine is rumored to be located in the Superstition Mountains near Phoenix, Arizona. These mountains are remote, and very dangerous because of the hot climate, snake infested, rough terrain, and bad guys that live in the mountains. Every year, several people lose their lives searching for the mine, some folks just disappear never to be found. The Indians claim that there is a curse on the Superstition Mountains and that you will face certain death if you ever find the lost mine. I suspect that the ancient Indians knew the location of this mine, but kept it a secret from the Spanish Explorers for fear that they would kill the Indians once the mine was shown to them. I personally believe that there may be a few Indians alive who knows the location, but they will not tell anyone. I have provided a link down below that will tell you the entire story about this lost mine, and I hope that you enjoy reading about it. Kelley (Texas) :)

I had dreams of finding at and letting my parents retire [funny how a childs dreams are]... But it was not to be,

Still, like buying a lottery ticket , which I do not do, it is fun to dream.

had crawled into their sleeping bag. The family had taken a vacation and was camping in those mountains. I do not know if the story was true or just hype to add to the excitement of looking for the lost mine. It also seems that whenever someone claims to have found the mine, they die. it is always so convenient for the story for sumdude to forget his way to the bonanza he found. Sometimes he gets killed and someone else who saw him spend some money starts talking about him having a secret mine or such.
Been in the mining life too long i guess cause i reckon there are thousands of stories about lost mines and treasures and the only ones ever found that i remember are ship wrecks which have been documented somewhere.
