Who spends all of their clad?

I'm curious how many of us spend our clad vs depositing it in the bank or coinstar. After a run in the tumbler I spend my clad...all of it. Even the coins that are crusty with bad or missing edges get spent as long as they are clean, somewhat shinny and recognizable. I found a little over 200 bucks in clad last year and have really enjoyed putting the coins back into circulation. So far I've spent about 3/4 of my haul and only had one cashier reject one coin...a really corroded zinclon.

I buy one ounce Silver Eagles with my clad. They are slowly starting to add up.

I collect the coins I've dug - even the clad - I put them in Harris coin folders.
I keep one of each date and mint mark of the newer coins - cents, wheat cents, nickels, dimes, quarters, state quarters, half's and Canadian coins.
There are over (1100) coins in the folders now - I think the more you handle coins - the more you will learn about them.

The rest I tumble and spend - the clad adds up fast - even when you try to avoid the sites that have them !
I've paid for new headphones and pin pointers in the past - just with clad Quarter's.

To keep my wife happy so I can continue to spend as many hours as I do hunting I spent 3 years worth of clad on this solid oak dresser set.

A very nice gesture I must say! Must have been quite a haul of clad.

An on line estate auction made it possible.

I tumble all mine and spend a few weeks ago I had $50.00 in mostly quarter dimes a few weeks ago in about 4 hours hunt!

When jar is full, I recheck for key dates and silver and to the bank I go.

I tend to bank all my coinage if legal tender . Cant say how much i have had last year as its not hundreds of £ its .... .
I just clean it all in salt and vinegar and dry it off then bank it in bank coin machines , that way i dont need to show the coins to a bank clerk where they might be rejected .

I cashed just over $400 in clad in and held it waiting for silver to drop. I ended up buying 1oz silver eagles when silver was below $14 at the beginning of 2016. I figured that I couldn't lose either way, it was found money.

I think diggervance is a very wise man.

Most of my clad I hit with a wire brush and take them to Coinstar. Every chance I get I spend it at the Turnpike just to be "that guy" ....lol. You know, those really dark crusty ones that you can't tell a penny from a dime and you have no idea it's a nickel..lol.

Fyi...I was spending a lot of mine in the self checkout lane at walmart before I got a tumbler and all of a sudden the checkout machines started rejecting my more crusty or discolored coins. They must have updated the machines to be more picky. But it's been smooth sailing since I started tumbling.

I tumble mine with stainless shot with a little CLR comes out like new after overnight but I have a lot of very pitted coins from the beach
they at least can see what they are..but I spend all mine.
